Players need to form Sets or Pairs.
Sets:
- Consists of three or four cards of the same number and different colors.
- Consists of three or more consecutive cards of the same color.
Pairs: Consists of two identical cards
Each round, the system picks a random card and places it face up (this card serves as an indicator).
Joker: A card of the same color that is one number higher than the sign. Joker cards can be used to substitute for any cards that need to be made up of Sets and Pairs.
The player's first meld must specify the following requirements:
- A single round of hand total points must reach at least 101 to place Sets.
- Place at least 5 Pairs in a single round.
In Okey101, 1 can only be used as the lowest card. Therefore, only 1-2-3 can occur, not 12-13-1.
If you have already combined into Sets, you can add cards to the Sets on the board. In one player has formed 5 Pairs, you can also place additional Pairs.
If you have already combined 5 Pairs, you can only place additional Pairs, not new Sets or Pairs.
If it's a combined hand, you can add cards to other combinations.
For example, if the sign at the beginning of the game is yellow 9, then Joker is yellow 10.
The previous player's fold can only be used if it has immediate effect in a combination. If you can't fit it into the mix, you have to put it back.
